ADULT PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Echo Theater Company supports three adult performance companies, as well as hosting a quarterly community performance opportunity in the form of Schrödinger’s Circus.
Learn more about each opportunity:
REVERB TRAINING COMPANY
Reverb Training Company will be an opportunity for adults to pursue the wonder of circus in a flexible format that accommodates real-life schedules, financial limitations and “spoons”. Designed with college students and working adults in mind, the company is an opportunity for just about any passionate person to work with professional performers, world-class instructors and a diverse and supportive peer group. With a focus on developing professional and semi-professional circus artists, the program goal is to provide structure, encouragement and a strong “jumping off” point for adults to begin here and go anywhere. This new training company will be co-directed by Saidah Poinsette and Flo Buddenbaum.

AUDITION NOTICE:
Join Echo Theater Company's Adult Training Company, Reverb! Reverb Training Company is our new program supporting adult students in building their circus, aerial, and performance skills. Students attend two series classes and one group rehearsal each week throughout the Winter and Spring terms (Jan - June). The program will culminate in a full length show in June.
Who should apply? Anyone with previous circus or aerial experience who is interested in training and performing in community with others! Please do not apply if you are brand new to this form (follow this link to info about classes!). Some members of this company have been working together since September, and we are excited to welcome new members for the Winter/Spring Term and Spring Show experience. There will be some space for ensemble creation, so interest in working with others is a plus.
This is a video audition. Please submit a 2-minute video of you performing something you are proud of. Applications are due by Dec. 30th.

Let your act out of the box! Bring your new act or a work in progress to our stage for an informal evening of fun -- Schrödinger’s Circus will give you a chance to turn performance potential into actuality as you tumble, fly, or dance in front of an audience who can give you supportive feedback on your performance.
All movement arts are welcome. Bring yourself and your props, invite some friends, and experience a night of art and community! Audience members are encouraged to participate in the artistic process by filling out feedback sheets. The act of observing may change the results!

PopRock is a performance ensemble centering Disabled adults (18+). PopRock meets for two hours a week to explore and play with the goal of producing an original performance. PopRock is directed by Aaron Wheeler-Kay, a certified Master Instructor in the DanceAbility Method, a modality for teaching dance to all bodies. Rehearsals are supported by assistant directors with caregiving and performance backgrounds.
PopRock shows are made by exploring the interests and skills of the ensemble using Disability inclusive practices and approaches. The most important thing PopRock members share is an interest and desire to explore performing. The audition involves an hour of group exercises followed by an opportunity for attendees to share any talent or performance skill with the group (Singing, magic, comedy, dance, lip synching, whatever you love to share with an audience.) Current members of PopRock will be participating in the audition and selection process. ALL BODIES WELCOME!
