Show: 8:00 pm
Doors: 7:00 pm
Venue: Echo Theater: 1515 SE 37th Ave, Portland, OR 97214
Get ready for a night of surreal comedy and theatrical absurdity as we present the final installment of Odditease! Join us on September 28 at the Echo Theater for a unique double feature that promises to be a memorable farewell to the whimsical world of the bizarre.
First, witness the transformation of One-Half Nelson into their outrageous character, Ah! Baloney, in "The Exorcism of Ah-Baloney." This captivating performance dives deep into the chaotic mind of the artist, blending humor and introspection in a maximalist style that will leave you in stitches.
Following that, prepare for a journey through the tempestuous seasons of Oregon with Baby Le'Strange's "Seasonal Delusions." In this poignant tale, a woman confronts her inner demons amidst the shifting landscapes of her surroundings, exploring themes of resilience and self-discovery.
Don’t miss this chance to experience two powerful one-woman shows for the price of one! It's a farewell to the absurd that you won't want to miss. Join us for an unforgettable night filled with laughter, depth, and a touch of the surreal. Brought to you by a grant from the Regional Arts and Culture Council. See you at the Echo Theater!

With their love of pop culture, they focus on recreating real movies they've never seen before. They take what they know (or don't) about a movie suggested by the audience, fold in classic story tropes, joyous relationships, and filmmaking devices to bring their director's cut to life.

Echo Theater Presents: Send in the Clowns (2013) A Benefit for Clowns Without Borders
Join us for a special screening of Sam Lee's 2013 documentary on the power of laughter and joy in the face of adversity.
Clowns Without Borders USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists for a simple reason: to bring the transformative power of joy to areas of conflict, displacement, and emergency. We envision a world where kids get to experience contagious laughter and unbridled joy in the very moments they need it most.
Send in the Clowns follows performers from the organization Clowns Without Borders. Their mission is to travel to areas of crisis and relieve stress and suffering through laughter. The clowns are volunteers, armed with a unique set of skills and an earnest desire to change the world. But is their work any different from all of the other agenda-driven aid organizations?
The evening will include a Q+A session with Josie Mae (CWB Performer Ecuador, Turkey, El Salvador) and others.
This event is a pre-party for the 25th Annual Portland Clowns Without Borders Benefit Show; March 30, 2024 at the Alberta Rose Theater. We hope to see you there, too!
Suggested donation $10; no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
All Proceeds benefit Clowns Without Borders Portland.

All folks who like lively adventure stories, packed with mystery and action, will want to see every improvised mystery starring husband-duo Nick & Justin Condon as Frank & Joe Nancy.
Sons of a famous American detective, the Nancy Boys help solve many thrilling cases after school hours and during vacations, as they follow up the clues they unearth in their quest to bring criminals to justice.
Imagine watching an episode of your favorite 1950's sitcom on stage, but with the wry commentary of today. Plus it's all based on audience suggestion. Thats right, its all made up on the spot. No two mysteries are ever the same - thats the magic of improv comedy.
Featuring only two actors, this sendup of Classic Americana is full of character swaps, pops, and slides as they paint the fictional town of Gayport, USA.

BRIDGE CITY IMPROV presents two stalwart indie groups, featuring talent that helped shape the Portland improv scene we know and love today.
First up, HIGH ROLLERS (Beau Brousseau, Kyle Stebbins, Bill Cernanksy, Daryl Olson). These distinguished gents collectively cover the comedy gamut with humor bold as cabernet, dry as champagne, and smart as a craft cocktail.
Then make way for BROAD SELECTION (Katie Nguyen, Mariah Muñoz, Betse Green, Lisa Brousseau, Janet Scanlon, Whitney Johnson, Adrienne Flagg, Kerry Leek), a powerhouse of some of Portland’s most experienced improv performers and teachers. The troupe formed at the Brody Theater in 2003, and they were featured artists at the 2017 and 2019 Stumptown Improv Festivals. Broad Selection shares true personal stories that inspire improvised tales that are fun, witty, and often quite moving.
