Common Thread and Toss Collective Show
Saturday, March 29 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 30 at 2pm
Common Thread is an adult performance ensemble exploring the intersection of physical theater, inclusive dance, aerial and acrobatic arts and other expressive disciplines. We will spend 6 months co-creating original work to premier at Echo Theater in March 2025. Rehearsals will consist of structured improvisation, devising scores and training in movement, aerial and acrobatic arts. Common Thread is directed by Aaron Wheeler-Kay and co-directed by Flo Buddenbaum.
Toss Collective is a group of performance artists collaborating to create and explore novel works of art. Depending on the project's needs participants will serve as performers, choreographers, or directors. The focus of Toss Collective is on creative movement, piece development, and imagery building. This all lends to push the performer to be more responsive and well-rounded on stage.
Toss is designed for emerging professionals who want to put a continued focus on stage presence and choreography while Tempos directors act as facilitators of the process to foster greater growth.
The Tik Tok Show

Tik Toks is our entry-level youth performance ensemble (ages 9 – 14). Tik Toks build aerial and acrobatic skills, and explore the art of collaborative physical theater. Tik Toks learn to integrate the group’s various skills into a full-scale physical theater production, including costumes, props, script, music, and more. Tik Toks perform at local functions whenever possible and present their own original work in the Echo Theater.
Brio

Brio is our Echo West-based 9-month program designed for students ages 9-18 to pursue the joy of circus with greater intensity. Brio company members have the opportunity to work with high-level instructors to progressively build skills, creativity, and professionalism within a program that is growth-oriented and fun! The program structure includes three levels of training intensity to allow for individual goals and needs. Brio members enjoy creating solo acts as well as a full ensemble show each year!
The Zig Zag Show
Saturday, May 17 at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 18 at 1pm and 4:30pm
Zig Zags is our pre-professional teen performance ensemble (ages 13 – 18). This program is a 9 month immersion in the world of professional ensemble physical theater performance, from physical training to choreography, stage-craft, script-writing, costuming, sound design, and more. Zig Zags perform at local functions throughout the year and present their own original work in the Echo Theater. Zig Zag alumni have gone on to careers in circus arts, dance, theater, micro-biology, international law, and much more!
Adult Student Showcase

The Adult Student Showcase is a bi-yearly event starring our incredible students as they present works created in their classes. This fun community event highlights the hard work and artistic creativity of our fantastic students in a fun and supportive environment!
Reverb
Saturday, June 14 at 7:30pm and Sunday, June 15 at 4pm
Reverb Training Company will be an opportunity for adults to pursue the wonder of circus in a flexible format that accommodates real-life schedules, financial limitations and “spoons”. Designed with college students and working adults in mind, the company is an opportunity for just about any passionate person to work with professional performers, world-class instructors and a diverse and supportive peer group. With a focus on developing professional and semi-professional circus artists, the program goal is to provide structure, encouragement and a strong “jumping off” point for adults to begin here and go anywhere. This new training company will be co-directed by Saidah Poinsette and Flo Buddenbaum.
PopRock
Saturday, June 21 at 6:30pm
PopRock is a performance ensemble centering Disabled adults (18+). PopRock meets for two hours a week to explore and play with the goal of producing an original performance. PopRock is directed by Aaron Wheeler-Kay, a certified Master Instructor in the DanceAbility Method, a modality for teaching dance to all bodies. Rehearsals are supported by assistant directors with caregiving and performance backgrounds.
PopRock shows are made by exploring the interests and skills of the ensemble using Disability inclusive practices and approaches. The most important thing PopRock members share is an interest and desire to explore performing. The audition involves an hour of group exercises followed by an opportunity for attendees to share any talent or performance skill with the group (Singing, magic, comedy, dance, lip synching, whatever you love to share with an audience.) ALL BODIES WELCOME!
