Makenna Susman
Makenna has been doing circus for 11 years (and counting!). She started as a kid in youth circus classes and then transitioned to the pre-professional performing company at Kinetic Theory Circus Arts in Los Angeles, where she trained and taught classes up until the start of the pandemic. With a lack of rigging and training space during lockdown, she slowly started transitioning to dance. She moved to Portland to attend Lewis & Clark College in 2021, and after graduating this last May, she has since rekindled her love for circus and teaching. Makenna has had a very interdisciplinary circus education, ranging from acrobatics and dance to juggling, hoop diving, rope, and other aerial arts. When she’s not circus-ing, Makenna is also a photographer (who really likes photographing movement)!
