Martina Oskarsson (she/her)
I was born and grew up in Sweden, fell in love with Oregon in 2001 on my first trip here. I did my very first aerial class at Echo Theater in 2002 and fell in love, first with trapeze and then it became mostly all about silks. I equally love training and teaching silks, the joy to share this art form is so exciting to me. It encompasses both facing fears, getting stronger, creativity, and being with people in a supporting environment. My passions in life aside from aerial are: yoga, dance, acro yoga, theater, nature, and drinking tea.
My day job is in a Montessori school and being in the Montessori environment has been an amazing refreshing experience. It has guided and inspired my circus and aerial teaching as well.
I have been teaching circus arts since graduating from Dell Arte and have continued to stay curious about how we move through space and use our bodies as an expressive tool.
